Global investors have great interest in Azerbaijan within the framework of Middle Corridor - Advisor to Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy

"Our economic growth targets for 2022-2026 are realistic," said the Advisor to Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Khagani Abdullayev while delivering a speech at the presentation ceremony of the Global Economic Prospects report, APA-Economics reports.

He said that the 3-4% annual growth rate of the GDP in the medium-term perspective in the Socioeconomic development strategy covering the years 2022-2026, including the 5% growth target in the non-oil and gas sector, are minimalistic goals.

Currently, in the background of the processes taking place in the region, we are faced with a factor that is a source of economic opportunities such as the Middle Corridor. In this regard, the government is taking great measures in various directions. Many of these measures are not reflected in the strategy. The most important issue for us is to diversify export geography increasing the range of export products in the non-oil sector. In this context, we observe the great interest of global investors in Azerbaijan within the framework of the Middle Corridor," said an advisor to the minister of economy.
