The volume of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) active portfolio in Azerbaijan increased by 2.8% or 30 million euros compared to the previous month, reaching 1 billion 82 million euros, EBRD told APA-Economics.
The number of active projects implemented rose from 33 to 34.
It was noted that 92% of the portfolio (995 million euros) consists of investments in sustainable infrastructure, 5% (54 million euros) in industry, trade, and agribusiness investments, and 3% (33 million euros) in investments in financial institutions. The volume of the bank's operational assets in the country increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month, reaching 751 million euros.
Thus, the EBRD has invested 4.059 billion euros in Azerbaijan within the framework of 196 projects until now, with 82.1% of the mentioned volume (3.333 billion euros) already utilized by borrowers. The share of the private sector in total investments has increased by 36%.
