The total amount of payments made and guarantees issued (Cumulative disbursements and issued guarantees) by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Azerbaijan reached 3.456 billion euros in July 2025, EBRD told APA.
In other words, this figure increased by 10.3% or 324 million euros over the past month.
It is noted that this reflects the Bank’s continued support for the development of the non-oil economy, the strengthening of local financial institutions, and green economy projects in the country.
The EBRD’s total investment in Azerbaijan amounts to 3.783 billion euros, with an active portfolio of 991 million euros and operational assets of 717 million euros. There are 34 active projects. Of the portfolio, 38% is allocated to the private sector, and 1% to equity investments.
Note that Azerbaijan became a member of the EBRD on September 25, 1992.
