Azerbaijan's current account balance is in surplus considering the high world oil prices and the increase in non-oil exports, Taleh Kazimov, the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan said, APA reports.

He said this, in turn, affected Azerbaijan’s strategic foreign exchange reserves.

“Azerbaijan’s strategic foreign exchange reserves increased by 14.5% in August this year and reached to USD 67.5 bln.,” Chairman of the Central Bank added.
