“Our economic growth forecasts for 2025 and 2026 have slightly decreased. The main reason for this is the decline in final household consumption,” said Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov during a press conference on the parameters of the interest rate corridor, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that by the end of 2025, GDP is expected to grow by 3%, and non-oil GDP by 4.2%. In 2026, GDP growth is projected at 2.2%, while non-oil GDP is expected to increase by 4.3%.
