Azerbaijan extends customs duty exemption for jet fuel imports for another year

The exemption from customs duties on TC-1 fuel for jet engines imported into Azerbaijan has been extended for another year, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision in this regard, APA reports.

This period was set to end on December 31, 2024, but has now been extended until December 31, 2025.

The new decision will enter into force 30 days later, on April 3, and will be in effect until December 31, 2025.

Additionally, the excise tax rate for TC-1 fuel related to jet engines imported into Azerbaijan will be 1 AZN per ton until December 31, 2025.

The Cabinet of Ministers has stated in its decision explanation that the adoption of the resolutions includes the exemption from customs duties on imported jet fuels (TC-1 and other categories) until December 31, 2025 (an amendment to Resolution No. 500), and the establishment of the excise tax at 1 manat per ton (currently 80 manat per ton) until December 31, 2025 (an amendment to Resolution No. 20).
