Azerbaijan exempts electric cargo vehicles from import customs duties

Electric cargo vehicles have been exempted from import duties, APA reports.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decision in this regard.

The decision was made to stimulate the use of environmentally friendly and safe vehicles and improve legislation in this area by setting the import customs duty rate applied for fully electric cargo vehicles which are up to three years old from the factory release date, at 0% until 01.01.2028 (the current duty rate is 5%).
