Anglo Asian Mining (AAM), which is engaged in gold, copper, and silver production in Azerbaijan, has lowered its gold production forecast for 2026, APA-Economics reports, citing the company.
The company has reduced its gold production forecast for the current year from the previous 28,000–33,000 ounces to 26,000–30,000 ounces.
The downward revision of the gold production forecast is attributed to variability in gold-bearing minerals in the ore at the Gilar deposit, which resulted in lower-than-expected gold recovery rates in the first half of the year.
At the same time, the company has left its annual copper and silver production forecasts unchanged. Copper production is expected to reach 20,000–25,000 tonnes and silver production 170,000–210,000 ounces in 2026.
Meanwhile, the forecast for the all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of copper production has been lowered from the previous $6,800–$7,800 to $6,000–$7,000 per tonne.
Note that Anglo Asian Mining produced 8,840 tonnes of copper in the first half of 2026, marking a record half-year production figure for the company.
