The number of ATMs rose 17% and POS terminals 42% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vugar Israfilov â€“ APA-Economics. As of February 1, the number of ATMs reached 1 545 in Azerbaijan, up 16.8% or 222 units on a year ago.
The number increased by 30 units in January this year alone.
The National Bank of Azerbaijan said 878 of ATMs are located in Baku.
Besides, the number of POS terminals reached 8 114 in the country, up 42.25% or 2 410 units on last year.
The number declined by 10 units in January.
Of this, 7 346 are located in Baku.
90.3% of POS terminals are installed in retail trade, catering and service outlets
