Meqa SÄ±gorta increases premiums by more than 3 times year-on-year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. The volume of premiums collected by Meqa SÄ±gorta insurance companies in January-November, 2011, amounted to AZN 965.180 million, up 3 times compared to last year.

During the reporting period, the most premiums were collected on â€œInsurance on individual accident and sicknessâ€ (AZN 368.616 million), â€œMotor vehicle insuranceâ€ (AZN 342.664) and â€œProperty insurance against fire and other risksâ€ (AZN 38.897 million).

Payments on insurance risks fell by 3.6 times to AZN 60.741.During this period, most payments paid on â€œMotor vehicle insuranceâ€ (AZN 29.647 thousand) and â€œInsurance on individual accident and sicknessâ€ (AZN 22.8 million).

Note that, AZN 959.834 thousand premiums were collected on voluntary insurance, AZN 5.274 thousand on compulsory insurance. In the structure of payments, the figures were AZN 60.230 million and AZN 510, respectively.

Remind that, Meqa Sigorta has been in operation since 2010. It operates on 23 voluntary and 4 compulsory insurance types.
