Volume of operations on BICEX decreases by 18% in August

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev-APA-Economics. The 25 deals were closed on 42 trade sessions on the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX), in August, 2011. As a whole, 8 bank organizations have taken part in these operations.
BICEX said that, the volume of operations on currency was AZN 37.557 or $57.755.
The volume of e-operations on currency was AZN 38.818 in August, down 18% compared with July, 20% in comparison to August of 2010.
The average daily turnover on BEST (Bourse E-system of Trades) reached to $ 1.137 mln, while average volume of per deal was $ 1.910 mln.
Five banks- Azerbaijan Industry Bank (54.48%), Xalg Bank (20.94%), Bank Standard (12.59%), Bank of Baku (2.35%) and Pasha Bank (2.29%) came ahead for the amount of deals in August.
