Azerbaijan attends international seminar on trade policy of ADB

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Asian Development Bank holds a seminar on â€œEmerging Issues in Trade Policy: Issues and answers Asiaâ€ in Manila (Philippines).
ADB told APA-Economics that, middle and senior trade officials from Asia and the Pacific are attending the seminar. The seminar will create an opportunity to discuss the implications of these issues with colleagues and experts from across Asia.
Representatives of almost all member countries participate in the seminar. Azerbaijan is represented at the mentioned event by the staff of the Ministry of Economic Development.
The five-day seminar will address the following issues: the dynamics of trade and production networks, recent developments in the Doha Round negotiations and the World Trade Organization, new issues in trade policy (government procurement, intellectual property rights, the protection of labor rights and the environment), an online tool for evaluating and trade policy, free trade zones.
