Positive balance of foreign trade turnover decreases by 20% year-on-year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. State Statistical Committee says that the volume of trade operations with 138 countries reached $ 17.4 bln in the first half, 2011, up 32.8% compared to a year ago. In the period of report, $13.1 bln-goods were exported and $ 4.3 bln â€“ imported to the country.

The export operations rose 28.4%, import increased by 48.3% compared to a year ago.

The positive balance of foreign trade made $ 8.7 bln, down 19.2% compared to the same period of 2010. $ 2.9 bln of commodity exchange was conducted with CIS countries, $14.5 â€“ with other countries.
