Azersigorta gets AZN 300-400,000 profit in first half of year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Azersigorta has collected AZN 11.804 mln insurance premium during January-June, 2011, up 4.3% from year earlier, said the Deputy Chairman of Board of Directors Aftandil Hajiyev.

According to him, AZN 10.110 mln came from compulsory insurance types, AZN 1.694 mln â€“ from voluntary insurance types. Most of premiums on voluntary insurance types came from compulsory insurance of civil responsibility of vehicle facilities owners (AZN 603.973 thousand), Personal accident and diseases insurance (AZN 698.745 thousand) and Casco insurance (AZN 210.257 thousand).

Payments rose 2.3% to AZN 5.195 mln. Most of payments went to Casco insurance (AZN 222.636 thousand), Health insurance (AZN 178.198 thousand) and compulsory insurance of civil responsibility of vehicle facilities owners (AZN 110.395 thousand).

He noted that, company has earned approximately AZN 300-400,000 profit.

Remind that, Azersigorta has been in operation since 1991. The company operates 10 compulsory and 20 voluntary insurance types.
