Ipek Yolu Sigorta collects near AZN 7 mln insurance premiums during first half of 2011

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Ipek Yolu Sigorta has collected AZN 6,544.23 thousand, during January-June, 2011.

Company says AZN 4,028.41 thousand came from Air Transport Insurance, AZN 1,526.87 thousand from insurance of civil responsibility of air transport facilities owners, AZN 407,088 from Property fire insurance, AZN 331,030 from Civil responsibility insurance, AZN 76,794 from compulsory insurance of passengers, AZN 29,315 from Personal accident and diseases, AZN 15,146 from Property fire compulsory insurance, AZN 12,670 from Cargo insurance, AZN 11,770 from insurance of civil responsibility of motor transport facilities owners and AZN 3,886 from Loan insurance.

During the reporting period the company collected AZN 6,452.29 from voluntary insurance type, AZN 91,940 from compulsory insurance. The amount of funds paid on insurance claims, amounted to AZN 2,863.80. The structure of payments to the largest amount of funds disbursed under the "Insurance of aircraft" (2 AZN 841.71 or 99%), "Automobile Insurance" (AZN 12,876 thousand or 0.5%) and "Liability Insurance owners of motor vehicles "( AZN 8,154 or 0,3%).

Note that during the period, the amount of funds paid by the company for types of compulsory insurance was zero. All payments were realized in the form of compulsory insurance.

Remind that the company Ä°pek Yolu SÄ±gorta, founded by the Azerbaijan Airlines, operates since 1995 as Azal Sigorta. At present, company’s authorized capital amounts to AZN 8.855 million. The company has licenses to provide services for 23 types of insurance.
