Economic Research Centre says annual inflation reaches 15.6% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Economic Research Centre has released the results of statistical monitoring of prices in 10 regions of Azerbaijan, in June, 2011.

ERC says the Consumer Price Index slid 0.11% in Azerbaijan during June. The food prices declined 0.44%, non-foods prices and services rose 0.40% and 0.13%.

The consumer prices in Baku rose 0.39%, in regions dropped 0.59%. Annual inflation made 14.90%. Food prices in Baku went up0.52%, in regions decreased by 1.37%. Non-food prices in Baku soared in Baku and regions (0.19% and 0.62%). Services rose 0.30% in Baku, fell 0.05% in regions.

15.58% price rise was observed in the country, compared to a year ago (during 12 months). In this time, the prices rose 19.30% in Baku, 11.93% in regions. The highest inflation was observed in food products. The growth in non-food products made 3.68%, in services â€“ 3.84%. Consumer prices increased by 5.23%, as well food products â€“ 8.08%, non-food prices â€“ 1.47%, services â€“ 2.51%.
