Azerbaijan gets 10% rise in foreign trade turnover

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s import-export operations with 131 foreign countries during January-May, totalled $14.1 billion, including exports in amount of $10.6 bln and imports - $3.5 bln, said the State Statistical Committee. Consequently, foreign trade balance made $7.1 bln

According to SSC, $ 2.5 bln of commodity exchange was conducted with CIS countries, $ 11.6 bln â€“ with other countries.

The foreign trade turnover rose 9.9%, as well the turnover on CIS countries increased by 46.6%, on other countries â€“ 5.5%, compared to a year earlier.

80.6% of foreign trade operations were conducted with Italy, France, Russia, US, Ukraine, Turkey, Belarus, Malaysia, India, Israel, Germany, Georgia and China.
