Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Today, Bank of Azerbaijan celebrates the 17th birthday. Bank says it was established in 1993, as Rabbatbank Commercial Bank. In 1998, the share of bank was sold to Turkiye Dish Tijaret Anonim Company and two individuals and the name of bank was changed to Ish Bankasi Azerbaijan Joint Commercial Bank.
In 2006, these shares were sold to NEM Holding Company and the name of bank was changed to Bank of Azerbaijan.
Currently, the bank operates all banking services and is member of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, AMF, NESF.
