New RoyalCard processing center launched in Azerbaijan

According to chairman of Board of Directors of Royal Bank Samir Akbarov, the works on RoyalCard Processing system was started a year ago. The main purpose of system is to provide the control of strategic processes of management of bank card business.

Bankâ€™s decision will be used for the successfully development of Royal Bankâ€™s card business and this will create important chances to increase the efficiency and quality of operations on payment cards business, he added.

According to him bank has 30 600 active cards. The number of cards will be approximately doubled to 60 000, in accordance to strategic plans, recently. At the same time bank planned to issue debit cards.

He says that 4 banks have already applied to the processing center about emission of cards and they were giver initial consents. They will be member of center from the next year. Talks are being conducted with three banks and the discussion will be over by the end of this year.

He noted that 1.5 mln cards were stress-tested, According to results of test itâ€™s possible to conduct operations on 3 000 cards in a moment. We have potential to conduct operations on 15 000 cards in a moment.

Then, representative of Compass Plus Alexei Osekov and the representative of Sysnet Global Solutions Company on CIS and Eastern Europe Igor Lekhgodimov spoke about the current relations with Royal Bank.

Note that 4 processing centers operate in Azerbaijan. (Azericard, MilliKart, Texkart and KapitalBank)

Royal Bank has been in existence since 1993. The bank operates 32 branches, 31 ATMs and 113 POS-terminals across the country.
