unibank speeds up customer lending decision-making
The specialists of the Bank have finished the implementation of the unique UCAS (Unibank Credit Analytical System) in collaboration with F-Line Technologies (FLT). UCAS had been developed and was implemented to accelerate the handling of loan applications by the specialist staff of the credit risks department, as well as in order to take into account more complex calculations incorporated into the borrower creditworthiness evaluation algorithm. UCAS reads electronically all the data required for the analysis including the financials, the credit history and the loan application from the digital memorandum that is entered by the credit inspectors.
This project is implemented in order to support the transition of the Bank to the e-documentation practice for the memoranda as well as in order to maintain loan agreements in the integrated data analytical system. It should be mentioned that UCAS uses the unique approach to loan applications regardless of the nature, scale and location of the customer’s business in each given case. This enables Unibank to address the volatile demands and priorities of its customers as well as to expand the circle of reliable and financially stable customers through the maintenance of the acceptable quality of the loan portfolio. All the copyright of the Bank over UCAS System are registered by the Copyright Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The introduction of the modern data technologies is one of the priorities on the agenda in our bank,’ comments Sattar Kazimov, Head of the Banking Technologies and Innovations Department. ‘All that we are doing only is intended to achieve one goal of providing our customers with the quality services at any branch and outlet of Unibank. In addition, the new system will help us quickly implement new products and, equally important, to control the credit risks to higher quality... First of all, UCAS is intended for business finance including express lending... Because this system is capable of processing a considerable number of applications in the real time mode, with its implementation we have increased the speed of decision-making at all the 26 branches and outlets of the Bank. It should be mentioned that the Bank has given about 300 loans through the new system to date.’
It should be remembered that Unibank was also the first bank in the country to implement its own USS (Unibank Scoring System) built up on the Data Mining Model. This software application evaluates customer creditworthiness in a minimum amount of time and automatically executes lending procedures up to generation of loan agreements. Not only does USS approve or reject loan applications, but it also offers customers alternative available lending conditions.
