Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-ECONOMICS. As of May 1, 2010 the national currency (manat) monetary base stood AZN 4 956,1 million, up 34.7% or AZN 1 276,5 million compared with a year ago, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The monetary base rose by 1.1% or AZN 54.1 mln in April, 2010.
The monetary base includes currency in circulation and reserves which commercial banks hold in their accounts with the central bank.
