"We consider this visit very important," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a press conference with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, APA reports.
The Minister stated that there had been differences of opinion between the two countries on a number of issues in recent years: "This also affected bilateral relations and cooperation within international organizations. Today, we discussed these issues openly and constructively. We will see the results of this discussion in a short period of time."
Jeyhun Bayramov noted that today's talks will pave the way for new opportunities for cooperation.
According to him, the existing opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries were also discussed.
"Our trade turnover amounted to around $600 million in the first six months of this year. This does not reflect the potential of the two countries," the Foreign Minister emphasized.
