Azerbaijan sees foreign trade surplus declined fivefold

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s foreign trade surplus during January-November totaled $7.7 billion with exports of $13.2 billion and imports of $5.4 billion, said the State Customs Committee.

The trade surplus was 5-fold down from a year ago.

As against the same period last year, exports declined by 71.97% and imports by 16.17% year-on-year.

$26.2 million worth of humanitarian goods and technical assistance were brought to the country.

Oil and oil products accounted for the bulk of the exports.

The country’s main trade parters in exports are italy (26.2%), the United States (12.09%), France (8.38%) and in imports are Russia (17.73%), Turkey (14.52%) and Germany (9.21%).
