Central Bank of Azerbaijan: Refinancing rate not to be raised soon

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-ECONOMICS. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan does not intend to raise the refinancing rates in the near future, said Alim Guliyev, first deputy chairman of the CBA.

"CBA is not considering this issue because there is no reason to raise refinancing rate today," he added.

CBA last reduced the refinancing rate from 3% to 2% in May 2009.
At the same time, the ceiling of interest rate corridor was reduced from 8% to 7%.
