Azerbaijanâ€™s budget surplus up 2.2%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s state budget revenue was AZN 8.3 billion for January-October, down 4.6% from a year ago, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, the budget expenditure reached AZN 7.2 billion, down 5.3% from a year ago. Budget surplus made AZN 1 163.2 million, accounting for 4.4% of GDP. Budget surplus is up 2.2% from a year ago.

Tax incomes came 40.2% from VAT, 30.9% from corporate profit tax, 11.8% from income tax, 5.8% from excise tax and 5.1% from foreign economic activities.

Expenditure went 41.8% to investments in the national economy, 12.6% to social protection and security and 16% to education and healthcare.

Salaries earned by the population accounted for 31.7% of the total expenditure.
