Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Bank of Azerbaijan has started to receive public utilities payments at the basis of KOMIS system (Kutlevi Odenishler uzre Merkezleshdirilmish Informasiya Sistemi – Centralized Information System for Mass Payments).

The said system is powered by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and for the time being, it allows receiving payments for electricity, natural gas and water bills both from natural and juridical persons.

To make a payment, clients need to register within this new system. In order to pass the registration, it is necessary to apply to the bank by presenting the identity card and subscriber codes allocated issued by public utilities services. After the registration is complete, clients are given the registration document containing the code which is the common for all subscriber codes assigned to the specific client.

Public utilities payments by KOMIS system are received in all branches of Bank of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the volume of fixed capital of OJSC Bank of Azerbaijan founded in 1993 equals to AZN 15 million while the level of overall bank assets exceeds AZN 127 million. Currently, Bank of Azerbaijan is among 18 national banks which have the right to allocate mortgage.
