The feasibility study for the Green Energy Corridor project, which will connect Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary, has been completed and approved by the governments of the four countries, APA-Economics reports.
This was stated in the investment presentation of Green Energy Corridor Power Company (GECO).
According to the document, the project is moving into the development phase. The next steps include work to be carried out during this phase and a roadmap leading to the final investment decision. GECO invites potential investors and partners to express their interest in participating in the project.
The project envisages the phased construction of three high-voltage direct current lines, each with a capacity of 1.3 GW. The first line is planned to be commissioned in 2032, the second in 2036, and the third in 2040.
