President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin, as he said at the briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine, APA reports.
According to Zelensky, the conversation with Putin was rather long.
“Today in the morning I spoke with President of Russia Vladimir Putin about this, I called him immediately, I said that this (death of the Ukrainian servicemen in attack, - ed.) does not bring us close to peace, I ask you to influence that sides (the militants in Donbas, - ed.) to stop murdering our people,” Zelensky said.
He also noted that they talked about demining of Stanytsia Luhanska and returning of captured Ukrainians. Zelensky commented on Putin’s reaction in brief.
“I tell them that our people are being killed, and I am told that there are some details, where our people shot at civilians,” he said.
