Each kilometer occupied by Russia in Ukraine costs it 170 soldiers, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with The Atlantic, APA reports.
“Ukraine is not losing the war. I think President Trump’s administration understands this as well. This may surprise them somewhat, because Russian propaganda works directly on them. According to our recent calculations, every kilometer of land Russia occupies in Ukraine costs them 170 soldiers,” Zelensky noted.
He stated that this figure includes both killed and wounded soldiers, adding that many of the wounded are in serious condition and cannot return to the battlefield.
“We have evidence of this. Have they won anywhere in the past six months? No,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
Zelensky also added that the only force capable of stopping Russian President Vladimir Putin is U.S. President Donald Trump.
“Today, the only force that can stop him is Trump. There may be other forces capable of doing so, but I do not see them taking action. Those who try either cannot succeed or are not taken seriously by the Russians,” the Ukrainian president claimed.
