Baku – APA. The International Atomic Energy Agency’s director general has reiterated that Iran’s security concerns should be considered, vowing that the information regarding the country’s nuclear installations will be kept ‘confidential’, APA reports quoting IRIB.

Yukiya Amano told reporters Monday night that his talks with Iranian officials and the agreements reached between the two sides were an important and positive step forward, and added that the signed agreements between Iran and the agency was not the end of the process.

Amano also took note of the agreement in regard to the heavy water reactor and enrichment technology by laser and said that the issues would be followed as per the agreed framework for cooperation.

Asked to comment about the issue that the new inspections would be beyond the commitments of the country as stipulated by the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and as a goodwill gesture by Tehran, the IAEA chief said that as per the newly reached agreement the visit to the heavy water reactor and the related information would be facilitated within the framework of cooperation.
