Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov briefed President Vladimir Putin by phone this morning on the results of the massive strike on Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to Peskov, during his daily briefing, Gerasimov informed Putin about the results of the Russian army's massive retaliatory strike on Kyiv and other populated areas.
Putin's spokesman noted that "only military or militarized targets were struck."
The Kremlin official added that Putin is in contact with the Chief of the General Staff almost every day, although such contacts are usually not disclosed to the public.
