The strategic importance of the Middle Corridor is steadily increasing amid geopolitical challenges, and Azerbaijan is one of the key links of this route, Azerbaijan's Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said at the Business Forum organized within the framework of the 28th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), APA-Economics reports.
According to him, Azerbaijan is currently a country making very significant investments in infrastructure.
"We have very important achievements in highways, railways, air transport, and water transport, and amid the current geopolitical difficulties and challenges, the role of the Middle Corridor is steadily increasing. The Middle Corridor passes precisely through Azerbaijan. It connects Asia with Europe, links the Caspian Sea with the Black Sea, and at the same time creates alternative routes in many other directions."
