Baku. Turbat Baghirova – APA. Turkey is awaiting a proper response from the US on the extradition of Fetullah Gulen, Turkey’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun.
The July 15 military coup attempt in Turkey was masterminded by the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the Turkish ambassador said at a press conference in Baku July 21.
He noted that Turkey has already sent to US the necessary documents on Gulen’s extradition and is now awaiting a proper response from the US.
Turkey is a powerful country that protects its democracy, said the diplomat, adding that the government will build a foreign police based on increasing the number of its friends.
Recalling the elimination of Ankara-Moscow tensions mounted after the incident with aircraft, Coskun said that Turkey will also continue to develop bilateral relations with Israel.
