Three wounded in France mosque shooting

The three men, believed to be a father and his two sons, were shot as they left Friday Prayers at a mosque in Villiers-le-Bel commune, located on the northern suburbs of Paris and 17.4 kilometers (10.8 miles) from the center of the city. They were heading towards their car when the shooting occurred, the French-language newspaper Le Parisien reported.

Initial investigations show that four bullets were fired at the men, and the attacker immediately fled the scene after the incident.

According to prosecutors, the shots were not fired "at the mosque itself."

The father and one of his sons were seriously injured in the shooting, and were rushed to the Beaujon Hospital in Clichy. The other son was slightly injured and was taken to a hospital in Gonesse commune, located in the northeastern suburbs of Paris and 16.5 kilometer (10.3 miles) from the center of the city.

Police have not determined a motive in the attack yet.
