“Through the TRIPP initiative and deeper security cooperation, we can irreversibly move the South Caucasus region back on the path of peace. We see Azerbaijan as our partner in this effort,” US Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon said this in her speech at a ceremony marking the 250th anniversary of US independence, APA reports.

“With President Trump and the world witnessing, Azerbaijan and Armenia have seized an extraordinary opportunity to turn a new page after decades of conflict. They have demonstrated a commitment to building a future defined by connection, cooperation, and prosperity, not confrontation. The opportunities that this peace creates are already beginning to manifest themselves. Through the Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity, as well as the new U.S.-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership, we are advancing a vision for the South Caucasus to become a region connected and integrated into the global economic system. This region must become a place that connects East and West, expands trade, strengthens energy security, and creates new opportunities for economic growth,” Amy Carlon noted.

She added that Azerbaijan and the United States continue to work together today for a more connected, more prosperous, and more secure future: “Ultimately, the American spirit is not only a celebration of 250 years of American history, but also an expression of confidence in the future.
