US Vice President J.D. Vance did not rule out the possibility of resuming military action against Iran, APA reports.
"I can't promise anything because, of course, it depends on how the Iranians ultimately behave. What I am confident of is that the president will not send our troops back unless it's necessary, unless there's a clearly defined purpose," Vance told reporters before departing Virginia Beach, Virginia, when asked if he could guarantee the US would not resume military action against Iran.
"Whether we'll have to take additional measures is up to the Iranians. If they decide to resume their nuclear program, if they start targeting commercial shipping again, that will change our calculations," the US Vice President emphasized. He also praised the progress of technical consultations between US and Iranian officials. "It's too early to say, but they're going well," he emphasized.
