Baku-APA.Poland joined the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) on Tuesday, accroding to Polish media report, APA reports.
The OECD Development Assistance Committee, which established in 1961, is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Marcin Wojciechowski, Poland had to meet several conditions to join the organization. Poland has progressively increased the volume of its official development assistance (ODA) to reach 438 million U.S. dollars, or 0.09 percent of the country's gross national income (GNI), in 2012.
Poland is the 28th member of the DAC.
