According to these results, the candidate of the ruling Georgian Dream coalition, Giorgi Margvelashvili, gets 62.19% of the vote.

 

The candidate of the former ruling party, David Bakradze, comes second with 21.86% and the leader of the Democratic Movement - United Georgia Nino Burjanadze - third with 10.04%.

 

The turnout in the Sunday elections was 46%. Georgia does not have a minimal required turnout. In order to win a presidential candidate has to collect a 50%+1 votes.

 

David Bakradze, the candidate from incumbent President Mikhail Saakashvili's United National Movement, congratulated the ruling Georgian Dream coalition's candidate, Giorgi Margvelashvili, on a presumed victory in Georgia's presidential elections on Sunday.
