The oppositionist European Georgia party has announced its nominee for the post of head of the Executive Authority in Gardabani district, which is home to a significant number of Azerbaijanis.
The nominee for the post is Telman Hasanov, who was introduced to the voters by the party’s leader David Bakradze. During the introduction, the current social and infrastructure problems of Gardabani district were touched upon, APA’s Georgia bureau reported.
The party has also nominated another Azerbaijani, Ahmad Imanguliyvev, for the post of Head of Executive Authority in Marneuli district, another Azerbaijani populated district of Georgia.
The municipal elections in Georgia will be held on October 21.
