Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that Ankara is using its existing channels of communication with Russia to try to bring President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table with Ukraine, APA reports.
"While continuing our support for Ukraine, we are also trying to steer Russia toward peace by using our existing channels of communication. I share Mr. Trump's vision for peace regarding the war in Ukraine," Erdoğan said during his speech at the NATO summit in Ankara.
Erdoğan added that he also supports US President Donald Trump's initiative to prepare the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL).
