"The tourism sector has particularly strong potential for development. Last year, we saw a significant increase in the number of mutual visits," Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said while speaking at a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Al-Safadi, APA reports.
The minister noted that additional measures are needed in this area.
"Direct flights have been launched once a week since the end of May, and there is a need to increase the number of these flights. Today, we signed an agreement on the mutual abolition of the visa regime for holders of ordinary passports," he said.
