Russia's occupation of Ukraine and military integration with Belarus create a new security reality in the European continent, said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, APA reports.
He noted that NATO's military position should be adapted to this new reality.
The United States has 100 thousand military servicemen in Europe. There are 40,000 troops under NATO direct command, mainly in the eastern part of the alliance, relying on significant air and navigation forces, as well as air defense systems. The United States currently supplies Patriot batteries to Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovakia. All this is a message. An attack on one of the new alliances will face a decisive response from the entire alliance," said Stotenberg.
