Boris Johnson's finance minister sets new priorities: Sajid Javid is providing 2.1 billion pounds to prepare for an unregulated EU exit, APA reports citing Tellerreport.

At the end of October, Boris Johnson wants to lead the British out of the EU, if necessary without an agreement. To cushion the No Deal and prepare the country, the British government is promising 2.1 billion pounds (2.3 billion euros). Finance Minister Sajid Javid had already announced in the middle of the week to immediately release £ 1.1 billion to prepare key sectors for an EU exit on 31 October. Now there is another billion available in case further funding is needed. This doubles the government budget earmarked for Brexit preparations this year.

With the additional funds, the Ministry of Finance is said to speed up border preparations, business support and drug supply. In addition, an information campaign will be launched. According to Javid, the milliards should finance one of the largest public campaigns of all time to ensure that individuals and companies are ready for Brexit without an agreement.

Under Javid's direction, the Ministry of Finance wants to set new priorities. The Sunday Telegraph had Javid, a former manager of Deutsche Bank, said over the weekend that he plans to finance 500 new border guards. In addition, he wanted to examine new infrastructure around the ports of the country in order to reduce the traffic load and to ensure that the flow of goods could flow.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has promised to lead his country out of the EU on 31 October - with or without an agreement with the European Union. Minister of State Michael Gove, who is watching over the plans as Prime Minister Boris Johnson's right-hand man, told the Sunday Times that the government was confident that Brussels would not negotiate a new agreement. The entire machinery of the government is working at full speed to prepare for a no deal.
