The Russia–Ukraine crisis is an issue that directly concerns all countries, Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), told journalists, APA reports.
He said that Türkiye wishes for the Russia–Ukraine war to end as soon as possible: “The war has already entered its fifth year. Enough is enough; people are tired. Türkiye wants this conflict to come to an end. Unfortunately, we also see that there are parties that do not want the war to end.”
Fuat Oktay noted that Türkiye supports the talks on Ukraine held with the participation of the United States.
He also commented on recent developments in Syria: “Very strong initiatives and agreements aimed at preserving territorial integrity have been achieved in Syria. We hope that full integration will be ensured there as soon as possible. In particular, we want full integration to be ensured within the agreements reached with the SDF. We see that this process is going extremely well, and we are pleased with it.”
