The Georgian government has repeatedly stated its readiness to resume relations with the United States and restore the strategic partnership suspended during the Biden administration, said Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili in an interview with Imedi TV channel, APA's local bureau reports.
She noted that official Tbilisi is cautiously awaiting the US proposal to restore and restart relations with Georgia and to discuss this issue.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, in turn, once again expressed his readiness to restore the strategic partnership with the United States from a clean slate and on the basis of a concrete action plan. In his statement to journalists, he emphasized that Tbilisi is patiently waiting for a response from Washington.
Note that the US suspended the strategic partnership with Georgia, established in 2009, on November 30, 2024.
