Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, to discuss three key issues for Ukraine, Sybiha shared the information on his X account, APA reports.
According to Sybiha, the first topic of discussion was peace efforts and ways to accelerate them with the involvement of the United States and the European Union.
The second topic focused on strengthening sanctions against Russia, in particular the adoption of the 20th sanctions package.
“In particular, we also discussed the rapid adoption of a strong 20th package, a ban on maritime transport for Russia’s shadow fleet, and entry bans for those involved in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine,” Sybiha wrote.
Another issue discussed was Ukraine’s EU membership as a key security guarantee both for Ukraine and for Europe as a whole.
The minister emphasized that Kyiv is ready to complete all the necessary work as quickly as possible.
