I expressed regret that Russia has suspended its participation in START nuclear treaty, says NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the joint conference with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, APA reports.
“Today Putin declared this decision. I urge Russia to reconsider this decision and respect international treaties on control on arms,” he stressed.
Note that President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Russia suspends its participation in the New START treaty with the United States that limits the two sides' strategic nuclear arsenals.
