Russian President Vladimir Putin remarked on Thursday that Moscow will work to increase economic activity in the country's new regions, which both his nation and Ukraine claim as their own, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Speaking at the meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, Putin stressed that Russia will overcome the economic challenges it has been facing since the West imposed sanctions on it and reduce poverty. He also highlighted raising the citizens' income and minimum wages as the government's main goal for 2023.
Earlier in his speech, Putin accused the European Union of following the United States' sanctions policy without any independence in making those decisions and then suffering the consequences of that more harshly than its ally across the pond.
