Putin informed Erdogan about Russian, Ukrainian talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a phone conversation with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA's Moscow bureau reports citing Kremlin.

According to the information, the issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed in detail during the telephone conversation.

Results of the recent talks between the foreign ministers in Antalya and Moscow have been positively evaluated. The spirit of further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, including the implementation of strategic projects in the energy sector, was expressed.

Different aspects of the development of the situation around Ukraine have been discussed. Vladimir Putin has also given information about the course of talks of Russian and Ukrainian representatives.

During the conversation, humanitarian issues have been especially focused on. Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked his Russian counterpart for the evacuation of Turkish citizens from Ukraine, as well as for the safe departure of Turkish cargo ships from Russian ports in the Sea of Azov.

Continuation of contacts in the different levels has been agreed.
