Turkish policemen on Thursday arrested a suspect carrying explosive materials in his bag in southeastern Sanliurfa province of Turkey, APA reports citing Anadolu Agency.
According to the information obtained from security forces, police forces became suspicious of an individual in a public square and started to follow him.
Having realized the policemen, the suspect panicked, dropped his bag -- which was carrying explosive materials -- and ran away. However, police were able to arrest him.
Bomb disposal squads later detonated the bomb in a controlled explosion and learned explosive materials were inside the bag.
The arrested suspect is accused of planning a bombing incident in the province.
